I have not indicated the model of this Amilcar as it is neither a CGS or a CGSs. I have researched this car as thoroughly as I can and the results are known to Gilles Fournier and others. I am happy to give all the information to any prospective purchaser. This would be better done by e-mail. I do have an idea as to its origins, but that may be impossible to prove conclusively. The restoration has just been completed and the engine has yet to be run. It has been restored to a good standard mechanically retaining every original part possible. I had never intended it to be a 'concours' restoration, rather one to give a good, usable car.The body is an original 'Duval' and is very narrow, only 30\" wide. No screen is fitted. Originally it never had one. It comes with a French 'Carte Gris' from 1950 which I believe is for this Amilcar. Also included in the price are a large quantity of important spares (engine, gear box, transmission, gaskets, etc), both new and restored. At current advertised prices these appear to be worth about 20,000€'s. A list of these parts is available on request. I have given a price but am open to sensible discussion. For reasons concerning the cars possible history I would prefer the spares to stay with it.

This Amilcar, though based on a 'CGS' chassis, is not a 'CGS' or a 'CGSs'. I have done a lot of research and believe that I have identified this car though, without further information coming to light, it will be very difficult to prove. The information is known to Gilles Fournier, who wrote the definitive 'Amilcar' history, as well as others. There are a few important chassis details:- The front spring mountings are 1.5 cms closer together than on a production CGS. The rear shock absorbers were originally mounted on the chassis side rails. The rear axle dimensions are non-standard. This includes the pinion shaft. The chassis is definitely a 'shortened' CGS, and all modifications appear to have been carried out at the time of original assembly. From part numbers the date of original manufacture appears to be around January 1925. The front axle and springs appear to date from later, possibly September 1925. The body is an original 'Duval' and is very narrow, about 30". The bonnet and radiator shell are also original. I believe that these were fitted to the chassis in 1926.
There is a French 'Carte Gris' from 1950 to go with the car. If it is the correct one then it also gives the date of manufacture as 1925, plus other interesting details.
The car has been subject of a ten-year restoration. where possible all original mechanical parts and fittings have been retained and refurbished. It is not a 'concours' restoration, more one for a car to be used and enjoyed with a lot of time spent getting the mechanical side right.. At present the car is finished but has yet to be run. There is a large number of important spares to go with the car, including a rebuilt engine, gearbox, new CWP, engine and transmission parts, gaskets, clutch parts etc. The current value of these parts appears to be around 20,000€'s! I have good reason to want these spares to stay with the car.

Magnifique amilcar cgs de 1927 très bonne état très rapide (100 km/h). Ct ok carrosserie bordino en toile weiman capot alu moteur 7 cv amilcar et boîte 4 vitesses. Éclairage fonctionnel. Très légère Car pas de démarreur pas de dynamo.... carbu Solex 36. Je donne avec le carbu bronze et le démarreur merci de me contacter par mail ou sms dans un premier temps photos sur demande!
